This is a new place you have to visit when traveling to Seoul, South Korea. Especially for people who’s  like greenery and nature!

Seoul officially opened its first botanical garden on May 1st, 2018 in Gangseo-gu, western Seoul, which has been on a trial run since October 11th, 2018.

Seoul Botanic Park is the first facility in Seoul to combine botanical garden and park in one space. A space where a forest, garden, lake, and marsh coexist together, Seoul Botanic Park’s  theme zone houses plants representing 12 major cities around the world.

The garden, encased by a glass structure in the shape of a flattened dome, is surrounded by a large outdoor park. Together, the indoor and outdoor sections cover 504,000 square meters, about the size of 70 soccer fields.

The Seoul Botanical Garden (Korean name: 서울식물원) will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, with adult tickets running 5,000 won and youth and children 3,000 won and 2,000 won. The nearby small forests, lake, and wetland will be open 24 hours a day with no admission fee.

Seoul Botanic Park is a short walk from exit 3 of Magongnaru Station on subway Line 9 and the Airport Express Line.
